I must share with you all why Crucial will likely see me again as a customer. I was having a bear of a time overclocking my 3700+, and it was stuck at 220MHz (HTT). Eventually, stock wasn't stable, and it took a week of testing to finally narrow down my problems to RAM. Well, one stick of my Ballistix was shot, so, guess what? RMA time. I got ahold of Crucial via email to start with, but since I wanted to cross-ship, I ended up calling them up since I'm not e-mailing a credit card number. The people I talked to knew exactly where I needed to get to and got the info needed to process my request. Since they cross-shipped, I had to have my bad stick in within 10 business days to be refunded the full amount for the new stick. I could've waited, but I'd rather not be at only 512MB any longer than necessary. I sent mine out and they let me know, via e-mail, when they got it and I had my refund a few days later. I did my RMA on a Tuesday, and I had the new stick by Friday. Currently, I'm sitting at a 230MHz HTT, Prime stable, with 2.5-2-2-8 timings...at 2.8V on the stuff and 1.3V on the CPU. I'll be doing some more overclocking when I have my days off. I'll probably top out at around 250-255 unless I drop the multiplier.
Ive never had to contact crucial but whenever I buy non generic RAM its always crucial! Ive never tried all the "posh" brands.... Geil, Corsair, OCZ n all that... crucial works just fine Good customer service makes all the difference... though I dont like paying for it! Maxtor and WD have been really good in the past for me. My WD was even over its return date but they were ok. Ive had decent personalised emails from IBM too over a 2.5" hdd. You cant get much better than that with stuff you cant take back to the shops! Im glad to hear Crucial play ball!
