Okay, this is a simple question, i was just wondering if "downloading" music from Limewire really is Illegal? Because, you're just getting the music from another person. It would be like me burning a CD full of music for my friends and giving it to them, and then they rip it onto their computer. Limewire is just a faster way of doing that. And thats all it is, is a file sharing program...I can understand how downloading movies and stuff would be illegal, because they are not supposed to have the movies on there in the first place but music they could have bought the CD. Please leave your opinion! Thanks!
That is actually illegal. If you buy a cd, you may rip it for your own personal use. But it is not allowed to just give those files or copy the cd for other people. So if you download songs where you didn't pay for, it is illegal to do it.
