I've been thinking of upgrading to windows 7 because I can get it for free from my college. The only problems is I don't know if it's a good idea to upgrade to 7 just yet and I don't know how to dual boot it. Can anyway help me with this? it would gladly be appreciated.
It depends where you're upgrading from. If you're running Vista, then you should really move to Windows 7, as it works much better. But if you're coming from XP, then first check if your system meets the requirements.
Yes you can. There are 3 possibilities: 1. If you have a 2nd partition, then choose "New Installation" in the Windows 7 installation wizard, and choose the 2nd partition. 2. Copy all your files to an external hard disk, and restore them after installing Windows 7. 3. Perform an upgrade to Windows 7. This will keep all your files.
