Hello, I take windows 7 DVD disc from my friend and I want to instal to my PC, but I have one problem. I don't have driver's for my PC. If someone can help me please find driver's for "Asus a8ne-FM" motherboard. I'm will be very happy. Thanks. P.S. Sorry for ban English. Hope you understand what I want to say
The asus support homepage (click here) doesn't have a a8ne-FM (socket939) listed. Is this the correct motherboard code, or maybe is the socket different? Consider that it may happen that there are no drivers for running Win7 on your motherboard. But you can try and install Vista drivers as well, although I am not quite sure that would help much (they won't install correctly probably).
damn, the Asus homepage just shows some FAQ's for A8NE-FM. Take a look here. try the support page - select Motherboard, then Socket939 and then see if you can find your motherboard on the list. I can't find it. I'm all out of ideas here...
I used to do the Driver Dance tell I got Driver Genius Pro. It does all the work Plus. It finds drivers that I never new existed but needed. Bob
Driver Genius and all other Driver finders are not reliable, I don't recommend using these types of software as very often they find drivers that are out of date / Incorrect for your system / and in some cases installs a nice little virus along with a driver.. these data bases they use are not fully secured and or updated. The safest and best way to get the correct Drivers for your system is to visit the Manufacturer Websites and or Vendors. I would also recommend not installing Drivers from the Microsoft Windows Updater as quite often these are out dated too. ;-) My opinion ;-)
Just try to install and see what happens,Windows 7 is pretty good of finding all the correct drivers you need.. After you are finished installing, then check your device hardware to see what drivers are missing, If any..
Windows 7 sometimes will not install some drivers , LIKE... Video , sound, And Network... But Most of the time it will.. I agree with the above, Windows 7 should have at least 1 gig of ram..
being that is an older board and probably does not have onboard video, then Windows 7 will not find your video card, Unless is is a major brand name..
Usually, whenever I felt that I need any of my drivers to be updated, I take help from Click4Support people. They are good in this job and I find this way is much more comfortable for me being a non-technical person.
Click4Aupport is a scam and has several complaints against them... So beware... Plus why go there, when you can come here for FREE !!!
I believe the A8N series is based on the nForce 4 chipset. Asus, Foxconn, and others make components for various companies, like HP, Lenovo, etc. Each company has its own naming convention, which can be frustrating when you don't know what's going on. Anyway, if you go over to nVidia's site you can get the chipset part rolling. That may also cover sound and LAN, depending on the motherboard itself.
