Can somebody explain how the Last.fm service works? I've downloaded the tar ball and opened the software, but I don't know what to do with it!

Am I right in assuming that if I run Amarok, all the tracks I play will appear on the last.fm website for all to see?

You can use the Last.fm script for Amarok, Lastamarok. However, Amarok since version 1.4.1 has been able to interact with last.fm radio without any scripts.

The coolest thing is the personalized radio.

I'm going to set this up on freeBSD once I fix my busted kernel.

    Cool, I am running version 1.4.1 :)

So I don't need Last.fm's own software at all then?

Nope. There's even an Amarok users group.

    Nice!

So what's with the radio and how do I get it going?

Ah, I see you've been listening to Joe Strummer, AT ;)
