what is it with this file (sol-10-GA-sp-dvd)
    file size is zero bytes

and i have a directory on desktop called "vm" which i'm unable to delete (permissions) so i deleted as root, it disapears, but on reboot, it reapears:confused:

yes, it is from VMware, i temporarily stored my virtual machines there, but now it won't perminently delete, even if deleted as root

sorted the other (sol-10-GA-sp-dvd.iso) with zero bytes, just deleted as root and it appears to have gone

Maybe VMware is still using it for some reason?

i don't think so, i've moved all VM's to a mounted partition on hdb1, still can't understand why i can delete it only as root, only for it to return after a while, not sure if only a reboot brings it back
