I was cleaning up my old .jpg's and my desktop lost all of the icons. I can get all the info but the desktop is blank

I tried to run it on xp as an external usb device, and it still acts as if it were a rom drive.

I want to write to the DVD and the message that came back that this is a rom driver, so I looked at the installation and it said to load the write software. I have NTI DVD maker and figured that probably came with it. I was expecting to see a sony disk for the writing. I tried a few disks but...

I flashed the drive and now it is DRU510A REV C It will not write. It says to install the write software. Is this software from sony or are they talking about Nero ?

I found the DRU510A and downloaded it. when I try to run it I get, the dynamic link library sendcom.dll could not be found in the specified path. When I go to that location It says rev C and a red sign above the icon saying UPDATE I am not sure what to do next.

I do not have permission to get onto that server

I have a sony DW-U14A DVD READ/WRITE DRIVE. I took it out of my machine about a year ago and decided to put it back into another machine. I bought it as and an OEM since I was putting it together and Sony does not support It. I think it is the driver that I need and have had no luck finding...
