Hello, I have set up a linksys wireless adsl gateway modem, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how do I check if I have an open network? i.e. other people using my internet.
You can check my logging into to your router's admin panel, by pointing your browser to its IP address, entering your admin credentials (which you should change from the default). Under security settings there should be an option to set security, I highly recommend you use WPA security, and stay away from WEP. Choose a strong passphrase like "e4tmySH0rts" for very strong encryption.
