quick question regarding ATMT ULTIMA external dvd+hd+6-in-1 card

    hi you can buy these in 80GB, 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, 400GB but i was wondering if you can put your own hdd in it

    I dont have full knowledge but know that you can buy enclosures for your HDD to attatch them externally with USB...
    If you buy for 3.5"HDD then you need an adaptor with that to provide power but if you buy one for 2.5"(Laptop HDD) then you can hook that with any computer anytime and it will work straight away. I have one 2.5"HDD external HDD....

    thanks karanislove but i need knowledge for the ATMT ULTIMA external, you buy it with the hdd, different sizes but it works out cheaper to buy a 80gb version of the external casing and buying a 250gb drive and sticking that in

    Yea, thats true. Its cheaper to buy an enclosure nd add a HDD in it but I think the main reason of expensiveness for that drive... is that You can hook that drive with the network also.. So it will work like NAS..:eek:hah:

    Unless they're using a non-standard drive size (1.8", 2.5", or 3.5") there's no good reason why you can't drop in something bigger.

    ok here's hoping, if it doesnt go well ill have a 80gb external and ill have to put the 320gb in me case but i wasnt hoping to do that
