I'm using MSN Messenger 7.5. But many people in my contact list use Live messenger 8.0. If anyone sends me a message when I'm offline, it will be displayed when I log on to my account. Is there any way to stop displaying offline messages when I log on to MSN Messenger?
File > Tools > Options > Messages > Offline instant message settings Set it in there to stop doing it. Mike
I can't find the settings for the offline messages in this screen. I can only change the settings for emoticons, textstyle, mobile messages, chat history and handwrite here.
You checked all the other options in that menu right? I just realised you're referring to version 7.5 I'm pretty sure it was a feature included in 7.5 and made able to recieve offline messages just for testing or preparation for the next messenger build, but since it was not a full function they didn't include options to change it since nobody would be able to send offline messages anyway if they all had 7.5. Time to upgrade to Windows Live Messenger perhaps? :/
