    HI
I just came into alot of money from Christmas. I have about 300 dollars but I only want to spend about 130 of it. I can not make up my mind what to buy.
    A- Corsair Value Select 1GB (2x512MB) DDR 180-Pin Ram $99

B- Thermaltake Tribe External Water Cooling Kit- $120 (with added accesories.)

The Ram is becuase I have a gig but the two sticks are different. One is PC 2700 and the other PC 3200. I want to got dual channel becuase I am hoping my pagefile usage will go down (78MB Max). (system is not at all slow)

The water cooling is for silence. Right now I have decent temps (XP-120) but the airflow noise drives me nuts when I am just sitting there, no noise. It really is not all that loud I am just a silence freak.
The only Con i can think of is that I paid $30 for the XP-120 and about $20 for the fans so that would be wasted. And the water cooling will not really give me a performance booster like the Ram will. I also have a Prescott 3GHZ so god knows what my temps will be. They might be higher then the 33c Idle 44C load I have right now.
So, what should I do ( I am losing my mind, computers are awesome but so expesnsive)

My page file is 300mb on boot, and goes up to 700mb >: (

I would get the ram, unless your planning on really overclocking your CPU, then there is no need to get the water cooling, but some ram and a decent Fan/Heatsink :)

Yeah, water cooling is one way of losing a fan but not the only way.
Id go for the ram too.

I wouldnt worry about the pagefile... no matter what you do (other than remove it!) Windows will always use one. Its just one of those things.

I am going to remove the pagefile alltogether today and go and play a game and see what happens.

    Thanks Guys.
I was just about to buy the RAM when I said "Let me check whith these guys first". I will definentely buy the Ram now.Hey, Willz let me know how the experiement goes. I guarantee will get a nice little error message from Windows. On the other hand it could force windows to use your RAM. By the way I have the same PSU as you. Damn they run hot. One problem is the back fan spins ungodly slow. Also my volatges are weird. 12V is 12.40 and 3V is 3.40. I have not seen system instability so I will not worry. Again thanks for your help and I will be buying the RAM from Newegg either tonight or tomorrow. I will keep the PC3200 stick and give the other stick to my brother's ghetto E-Machine. The front says 512MB of Ram but they only have 365 or something occording to System.
