im pretty sure now its this that's causing my pc to crash.. It's done it on Google Earth and Counterstrike. To be honest its really bugging now, i've tried updating things. downloading software but isn't working:O Someone please help !!
OpenGL is an API (application program interface) for graphics. Okay, let's get specific: What are your specs, including power supply? Is it only Google Earth and CS, or does it happen in other instances? How are you determining that it is OpenGL? Have you tried running CS or other games in DirectX/D3D?
CS and google earth are the two programs ive noticed it on. how do i find out the specifications you asked for? and yes ive tried running CS on D3D and basically didnt work.. well the graphics were too bad to play with. couldnt read writing, and yes ive tried playing it on Direct X, it will play but cant handle everything on the game and will crash, for example if i get flashed (blinded) the screen will go multi colours and crash. just sucks. the card should play alright shouldnt it ? OpenGL is just a graphics programming language, it's nothing crazy residing on your computer, and it's fundamentally more stable than D3D. Try updating your video drivers and your motherboard's chipset drivers, and see if that helps. If not, you may have a hardware problem.
