HD Upgrade

    I am thinking of upgrading my HD to a bigger one what i would like to know is,is it possible to transfer everything i have on my currant HD to my new one as the one i'm using at the mo is only 40Gig.:)

    Yup...
    If u Buy IDE then connect it with IDE cable as a slave drive and transfer everyting..
    If you Buy SATA thn connect it with SATA cable and set it on number 2 from BIOS and copy everything u want...

    Thanks for the info.But once i've connected to the ide and set it as slave how do i go about transfering things across :confused: :confused:

    the easiest way to transfer the data is by using 3rd party software like this or you could do the data transfer manually, by attaching your new HDD as a slave on the primary IDE channel (your existing HDD as master) boot safe mode & then copy all you can from C: to D:[ot]assuming the new HDD is D:[/ot]
