true i wouldnt buy less than 512 even if your on a budget save 40 dollars and get it , xp is ram hog , well now vista is i guess
Well 512mb is actually ok for XP as long as you dont fill it up with loads of startup programs and things like that.
why not save $40(?) on the lisence and get a copy of windows 2000, it does everything XP does (same kernel) with less resources and you dont have the risk of your machine being shutoff by WGA. There seems to be some hassle with Vista and DX9 games, Slashdot | Vista Not Playing Nice With FPS Games .
