6600GT reaches 90+ degrees

I've had my Nvidia 6600GT for over a year now and the temperatures has always been plus 90 degrees celcius when playing games. Now I've recently done some research and I've found that this is highly abnormal! Although the card hasn't burned out and is still running fine one year later, why can't I find anything on the net relating to these high temperatures?

The card is underclocked.
 
The temperature of that CPU is quite normal for an AMD CPU. So the airflow would be okay. Is the temperature of the graphics card above 90 degrees, even if the system is idle?
 
The graphics card is idling at a 60C average. CPU averages 45C on idle.

On a graphic intensive game the graphics card reached 100C constant, but there where no anomalies or graphical errors due to the high temperature, so I assume it's normal running 100C?

That temperature is not normal. I think that there is somewhing wrong with the cooler of the graphics card. Does it spin if the computer is turned on?
 
The graphics cooler is the stock heatsink/fan and the fan spins. The whole cooler is full of dust, i've tried to get the dust out but had no luck. I've applied some thermal compound between the heatsink and GPU and still no change in temperature.
