Insertion Of Disc Reboots Machine

    alright as you can see from the title of the thread whenever i put a cd/dvd into my drive it starts to read the disc and reboots the machine it doesnt happen all the time just most of the time started happening 2 weeks ago my psu is 500watts and is about 10 months old same with the ide cables and the drive itself being 1 year old i had 2 dvd drives hooked up i tried to unplug one to see if that would make a difference still the same problem yet somedays i can burn 3-4 dvds and nothing happens to the drive i have no idea whats going on so hopefully you guys can help me :)

    when next tym ur system reboots, have a look in the event viewer(RightClick MyComuter > Manage > Event).
    Second thing you can tell us about your system specs.... Also make sure that you provide make of the PSU.

    Go through EventID.Net might give you some ideas. Its just your CD ROM who is creating errors to make your computer restart.
