Respected Admin, My System Specification: My PC was working fine with: Processor.......... 2.4ghz M/B.................. D845GBV Ram................. Slot 0 (256mb) + Slot 1 (128mb) I purchased this computer in about March 2003. Problem: Today I changed Slot 0 RAM with the 512mb RAM. After pluging that RAM into my system my system didn't display again. I unplug HARD DRIVES, DVDs, FLOPPY DRIVE, 512mb RAM. Nothing happens. I again plug the RAMs just as before. All three RAMs works fine on a branded Compaq PC. I unplug the HDD LED, RESET SW, POWER SW, POWER LED and amazinginly the system powered on automatically but didn't get display. POWER SW is must to be plug in mother board to in a computer but it power on automatically without POWER SW. POWER SW is connected to the ON and OFF button to the casing......... The computer giving 2 error beeps at once after 15 sec. I don't know the VGA has gone or the BIOS..... Please help me out. After pluging or unpluging anything I must disconnect the switches. Actually I forgot to post that I already tried to reset the Bios with the Bios jumper on the mother board but nothing happens. The thing I don't understand is the both RAMs are 266mhz then why is that for and D845GBV can support 1GB + 1GB Rams. I got no video or display unfortunately and it's saturday night.... Man, you got allot going on there. First of all , did this problem start before or after you install the new ram ? What ram does it take ? Was the PC working right before you installed the ram ?
Are you running the 512MB stick alongside the other stuff you do have? Are the 256MB and 128MB single-sided or dual-sided?
