Just a quick question. Does any one know if a Intel Pentium4 M (3.6ghz) SL7DT will be compatible with my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L7320 which currently has a Intel Pentium M (1.7ghz) installed. I do not know the specs of the motherboard.
I don't think that will be possible, Most motherboards won't support that big of a jump in processors. 1.7 to a 3.3 .... this is all I could fine about your laptop: Issue May 2007 AMILO L7300 -Generic With Intel Celeron M Processor in Lifestyle Design Pages 3 The AMILO L7300 has been designed for users who demand performance and .. Oh b******s! Nothing I do is going right latley. Just in theory, I am not going to try it. If I did change it and it wasn't compatible, would it fry my motherboard or would it just not work, or would it work but restrict it to 1.7? Anyone want to buy a Intel Pentium 4M 3.6ghz processor?!
First thing you need is to know what the manufacture is and What socket is it. Then you need to research that motherboard and see what the specks are. Then you will have to look up the processor and how far can upgrade. There's nothing wrong with 1.7 ghz., thats what my Gateway is running at.
This is all I can find out, does it help? This is the only thing I could find;; 411Sync - VIA chipsets I think it is a Jetway motherboard and is a socket A 462, but not sure.
Will there be anywhere on the motherboard where it gives a number so we can identify it? There are so many numbers printed on it I don't know which is which.
First try everest or belarc , they are hardware identifiers..Everest should give the motherboards name..
Why did that come out blank? Any way, I said post number 5 is the Belarc report. This is what I can get from Everest: Field Value Motherboard Properties Motherboard ID <DMI> Motherboard Name FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO L7320 Front Side Bus Properties Bus Type Intel NetBurst Bus Width 64-bit Real Clock 100 MHz (QDR) Effective Clock 400 MHz Bandwidth 3200 MB/s Memory Bus Properties Bus Type DDR SDRAM Bus Width 64-bit Chipset Bus Properties Bus Type VIA V-Link Bus Width 8-bit Real Clock 67 MHz (QDR) Effective Clock 267 MHz Bandwidth 267 MB/s
