Since I'm not up to date with the latest computer hardware, so I need recommendations of what to buy as a gaming PC. Budget is set at £350-400. Excluding keyboard, mouse, monitor and power supply. thanks guys
Which power supply is it? Anyway, here's a list: Motherboard: MSI P35 Neo-F £57.00 CPU: Core 2 Duo E6550 £99.95 RAM: Crucial PC2-6400 2x1GB £45.00 Video Card: HIS Radeon HD3850 £105.00 Optical Drive: Samsung 20x DVDRW £22.00 Hard Drive: Seagate 250GB SATA £40.00 Case: Antec NSK4000 £30.00 Total: £398.95
thanks B, lets forget the case is well, could we get a 8800gt/s card in there? change the cpu to E2160 (overclock it?) maybe? I've been told the PSU is couple of years Enermax 460 Watt. oh if required you can go over the budget a little.
Well... OCZ Technology StealthXStream 600W Active PFC Gigabyte P35-DS3L Intel E2160 OCZ Technology 2x1GB 240DIMM PC2-6400 DDR2 Platinum Saphhire HD3850 Samsung 20x dvd writer SATA BLACK LIGHTSCRIBE Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB S300 16MB Total (From Dabs.com Including Delivery Before Christmas):£366.95 I have that Mobo PSU and used to have E2160 and i oced to 3.0 Ghz on Stock. With no heat issues. I wouldant advise running that lot on your current PSU thus i have included one i similar system on perfectly. all you have to do is pick a case, possibly CoolerMaster Elite 330 ATX No PSU Black (really decent case for the money!) which brings grand total to £391. Also as for 8800gt:EVGA GeForce 8800GT 512MB GDDR3 £173 : (So total = £440.72 without case)
