    Hi all,

I’ve been looking around for some advice and I am not sure what’s true/ false.

I have at the moment 1x 3870 512mb graphics card in my PC, the motherboard supports crossfire and has another PCI-E port on, am I right in saying that to have cross fire all I need to do is buy the same card I purchased before and just plug it in with the crossfire bridge plugged on? I am just slightly confused weather I need to buy a special "master" liker version of my card.

    Thanks.

ATi/AMD have long since done away with the Master/Slave card nonsense, so yeah, pick up a second 3870 and be on your way. I'd suggest moving to the Catalyst 8.3 drivers if you haven't already---for best results, of course.

ok im not quite sure what is wrong.

im running vista ultimate 32bit and have 2x3870HD cards in on the mobo m2r32-mvp. in the CCC i click to enable crossfireX and it says it works. when pressing identifyGPU i just get the number 1 on my screen. another note when i play assassins creed with crossfire turned on and off no performance increase is noticed.

is this my drivers not working or the mobo is wrong or something, ive tried updating the BIOS but no luck.

    Have you checked Device Manager?
    Which driver are you using?
