    hey!

My big box has been getting a step louder past the last few moths. It is true, that also I have not been cleaning it past the same last few months :p , but anyway - it's as loud as never before. Could it really be the not-de-dusting or the fans are trying to keep the box cool as good as they can ... ? or, even worse, they're dying....

If your fan speeds are related to case temps then yes, your fans will make more noise if the machine runs hotter...

Easy way to find out, clean your case and see if they are still as noisy!

Is It a Dell ? My dells fan went from Quiet to loud in about 3 weeks.
Dell cuts corners on there cooling systems and uses the rear case fan to cool the processor. Anyway I ordered a new StarTech fan and Now you can't even hear it running..

no it's not a Dell... but a rear fan as the cpu cooler? why? grose...

anyway... it's probably because of summer and stuff - when I turn it on, it's loudish, but when I play something then it gets buzzing. but keeps it relatively cool - at 35 C* for all components in a idle state (except for the geforce which always idles around 50C* anyways)

It sounds like it is giving you a warning, I would replace it as soon as possible..

It sounds like some or all the fans are thermally controlled because they become louder when you increase the load.

Keeping your case clean from the dust should help that some. If it's still unsatisfactory, look into some low-noise fans like Panaflo's or Vantec's Stealth line.
