Welcome All the computers that i have repaired for friends and customers until this day... have all been HP's and COMPAQ's (mostly HP's). NO JOKE I would stay away from them to be honest, although HP does have a recovery drive to restore it to its original settings. But still, id go custom if you can build it yourself.
Hi Thanks for your reply,I was wondering if you had hear of Edge comps , Eves ham comps or Hi grade. I am a bit limited as to different makes. Is it correct that hHp cops are next to dell comps .
I didnt understand by "edge" computers or any of the others you listed.... But i checked that company "hi-grade.... And wow what a rip off!i wouldnt so much "quid", as you brits say, for those computers. in regards to the dell or hp being better, id stick with dell as i find them to have low prices, sleek looking pc's and better performance than the hp. if you have dell in the uk, id go with them. if you can build pc's yourself try to get cheap parts from a uk online computer store or ebay.uk
I can understand why not everyone would want to build a computer. Personally I've not had to fix any branded computers, they've all been reasonably steady. Also, if they do break, and they're in warranty period, it's easy to get fixed, as you don't have to identify the faulty part. On the other hand, cheap parts are used, and you pay for the labour of the PC being built, and the profits of the manufacturer. Building a new PC yourself is a bit cheaper, but not a great deal. Dell PC's don't use interchangable parts (or didn't last time I heard), so I wouldn't recommend a Dell. Also, I've had problems with my acer laptop, although that isn't to say the acer desktops would be as bad. Try the CCL Computers website, they normally have some good prices on computers.
