If i was to reformat my hard drive and sell it would i have to uninstall the oporating system as well? Being of course that the person who is reciveing it has not paid microsoft for the licence? Would a computer shop have to legally do this as well? thanks. Ash
If you format, then there would not be anything on that hard drive at all. Also , If you did not format the drive and sold it, then it would not work on any other computer but yours, Or one that has the exact same setup as yours..
