    I got a new GPU the other day, the problem is it doesn't fit in my case, it's too tall.

    I'm actually running my PC without the case on with all the insides facing (not against) a wall to minimize the safety aspect.

    I do have a bigger case but i had a look a while back and i'm guessing mobos are mounted differently so that won't work.

    I am monitoring the temprature of everything through a mix of the BIOS and some software, everything seems to be around 33-35C which i think is around normal? But my GPU is idle at ~45C and when in use ~55C.

    Couple of questions really;

    1. Do i need to buy a new specific case to transfer all my components over, or (this is a long shot guess) can i cut a hole in the case lid so my GPU sticks out slightly? (laughing to myself about that idea but I dunno!)

    2. Are my temperatures normal? specifically for my GPU?

    (All my PC info is in 'my computer')

    Um, basically I'm not sure where you are having the problem. Most GPU HEIGHTS are set to a standard height, excluding low profile. The only way you coudl be having issues with your card would be if you tried to install a non-LP card into an LP case.

    Whats wrong with this? I play COD5 on it great... that's the most demanding game i've ever even played on lol

    This leads me to a whole new question, my sister bought a laptop recently, and the guy in the shop told her it was useless for gaming, when i looked at it, it has a 10??MB (one thousand and something) graphics card and a dual 2.6Ghz processor.... whats wrong with that :confused:

    It's probably shared video memory coming from the RAM. So it depends on how much RAM she has in it.
