Hi all, first time user of this site and not to techy but here goes... Got a brand new PC, descent spec. It only has one cd rom device (TSST corp CDDCDW SH-S223Q SCSI CD ROM). It was installing and playing games just fine until 2 days ago when I used it for the 1st time to burn a lightscribe label, which it did successfuly. Now it can't read any kind of disc, game, music or dvd? It won't auto-load and when I try to explore the cd rom drive it tells me to insert a disc? Is my cd rom dead already, after only 2 weeks use? Any advise is appreciated, particularly as i've just bought a new game which I can't now play!
Welcome burno70: What burning software do you use ? It sounds like your drivers got messed up some how.. I would reinstall or update your drivers for that dvd/cdr drive...
Thanks Ghostman1, I've just tried that and no change. I have a feeling tha the drive has failed, I'll contact the seller and see if they'll ship a new one out.
