Well, i'm getting my girl friend a digital camera for christmas, and i was looking at a Nikon coolpix S210, or a Cannon A590, but then i stumbled upon GE's cameras. So apparently its a company licensing the trademark, but they have to be fairly decent if a big company like GE lets then use their name. Only their bottom of the line cameras are available in the States, they were launched in European and UK markets, but reviews all seem to be pretty good, and they are VERY nicely priced as well. Just thought i'd share that with everyone , and does anyone have any experience with one of their cameras?? oh yeah, my GF wanted a purple camera, it wasn't a must, but it would be bonus points if i got one, and they happened to have a purple version, along with Nikon and Kodak, but screw Kodak and their software and proprietary USB slot, and Olympus's xD cards (not a smiley, its xd = xD = XD)
Where I work we have some GE cameras... No one sells them because we really don't like them. The S210 on the other hand is a big hit. I've not seen any results on either camera, but given the choice, I'd pay extra for the Nikon any day. And yeah, screw Kodak, their cameras are crap (but their prints are good!).
.... hmm... lol, well, hopefully all goes well, i've read enough good reviews about their cameras, and even one from a UK website, so i think i'm fairly confident, but i guess i'll see, thanks for your input though Thomas,
