Need some help/suggestions regarding computer that wont load intermittently. Started months ago, vista would load, CPU maxes out for 3 minutes, then windows would continue loading normally, except for error message as follows: RunDLL.exe "Error loading C:\windows\system32\wvUnLCVP.dll The specified module cannot be found" This would only occur after having pressed the reset button on the computer because computer stops loading before windows starts loading, all that appears is a flashing white cursor on a black screen, when u reset, computer loads as per above. Over the past couple days computer occasionally doesnt even get to this stage and says that the CPU fan has failed or isn't fast enough, error resolves on reset, this has occurred twice now. Of course, with the required resets and waiting for a few minutes every time vista loads, computer is otherwise fully functional. Upon inspection inside computer all 3 fans seem to be running fine (CPU, GPU, PSU – case has no separate fans) Have since put a new HDD formatted with vista, still same CPU fan error on restart. This is consistent with the CPU fan error message occuring before windows even starts to load. Any help is appreciated thanks Specs Windows Vista Ultimate (6.0 Build 6002) Service Pack 2 32bit Bios: Phoenix – AwardBIOS v6.00PG MB: Asus P5VD2-MX CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 @ 2.40 GHz RAM: 2046MB (2x1GB) (Kingston) GPU: Nvidia Geforce 8800GS – 1141MB DVD: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-111D – IDE HDD: Seagate SATA – Barracuda 7200.10 – 200GB PSU: ATX-550W BIOS Monitor: CPU fan speed fairly stable @ 860 RPM (warning set at 800) CPU Temp at 38 degrees C and MB at 26 degrees C Start up Temp set at 50 degrees C and full speed at 70dC. this is right after the comp has been turned on. stats similar 2hr 40min later ----------- Q-Fan Controller - Enabled Vcore Voltage - 1.26 3.3V voltage - 3.36V 5V Voltage - 5.05V 12V line voltage at 11.89V ---- Start Up PWM - 60 Slope PWM - 4PWM/degree celcius ----- PSU Brand - Some Asian letters then "Sun Pro" - seems pretty generic to me
Hi, is there not an option in your bios to disable detection of the cpu fan? if not try updating your bios. if no luck after updating the bios, replace the cpu fan. alot of bios's won't post unless it detects the cpu fan is running, it's a fail safe to prevent you frying your cpu.
hi there as Mir BoBBYI986 say .. you got 2 choices disable the cpu fan detect and monitoring from bios or get a original new fan with 4 leads ( sensor lead ) .. have nice day .. NanCy
Uh oh, to me it seems like this error indicates a malware infection. I'm not sure if heat is a factor; if so, you may have several separate issues.
