Links would be nice so I can tell exactly what your getting. When I look up EVGA 58X on newegg I get about 8 different mobos, so it would help to know exactly what one your looking at.
good setup everythin will work fine. Nice 2nd gen sli on the motherboard 16x,16x,8x. If you've got extra $269 to spend go for the EVGA Classified, has an N200 nvidia chip located near the motherboards Northbridge (IOH) this runs all PCI-Express x16 slots at true x16 mode so full 4gb/s bus speeds on all slots. the board also has dual bios, 2oz copper in PCB, lower rds on mosfet voltage regualtors etc etc. btw: are you going to be using your onboard raid in raid 0? always a must on a core i7 even though it is fake raid still performs well Hard drives: couple of raptors or 15k rpm SAS drives will be excellent in raid 0. Graphics card think your better off going for the 2GB version of the gtx 285 good card. make sure its EVGA because within a few months the new gt300 series cards are coming out and apparently EVGA have some kind of trade in your old card and buy the latest one for like extra $50 somethin along those lines.
Yeah i wish i had the money to buy the Classified but unforunately i dont And i may add some 10k western digital raptors in the future I was thinking of buying the gtx 285 2gb version but i cant spend anymore money on the build at this time i am gonna 2-way SLI the gtx 285 eventually too Thanks for the suggestions though
