I'm relatively new to building a custom pc so I am trying to get a little input before I make any purchases. Shooting for under $1100. The total comes to just over $1100. Anything I should change?
get another wd caviar black and go for a raid 0 using the onboard raid, you will be looking at about 150mb/s read and write speeds. change the cpu to a socket 775 q6600 D0 stepping slarc. slower speed but excellent overclocker easily get 3.2ghz out of it with a decent cpu heatsink. other than that good sytem
If you budget allows try going for 2X4 gig sticks of ram. Filling all four RAM slots is not good for a system.
Power supply- Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies Much better
