hello, i've decided i'm going to build my own computer (don't worry, i'm sure i know what i'm doing for the most part, XD)

but i was shopping around for ATI radeon HD cards (i like amd) but i've taken a look at there ports and it doesn't seem like your standard monitor cable will do the job...do i need to buy some special adapter or monitor?

in the HD series most of the time they require a DVI cable, but normally you can get a adapter that comes with the card

    thanks!

up until now i've only been playing with computer hardware from like 1998 (OMG all our computers still have IDE cables) XD so i wouldn't really know much about HD stuff
but thanks, and i found a monitor that has the "male" part of the connection anyway (after all what is the point of having the ability to play HD video but not have the output to handle it....XD)
