Hello, not been on in a while. Im having a spot of bother with my pc failing to boot. It has done this for as long as i can remember. It can sometimes take up to an hour for it to get through the boot sequence and in that time it will restart itself maybe 30 or 40 times, sometimes it just flashes on and then flashes off for maybe a couple of seconds before it boots itself again. When it finally posts i get the message: "Warning!!! The previous performance of overclocking is failed and the system restored to the default settings...." The system has not been overclocked. Then we go through the BIOS and everything looks okay, voltages etc and then it boots up as normal, until the next time i need to restart my pc after an update. Then its back to square 1 again. Recently i have completely rebuilt my pc to try and solve the problem without success. I just dont get it. Oh and ive reset the CMOS and had the MB battery out and still nothing.
have you tried reset cmos? or loading bios defaults? if not you could have some kind of failed or failing hardware attached to a controller and the controller the device is attached to doesn't like it. so try removing some of the non essentials such as, hard drives. opticle drives. see how it goes.
No, i have a pre-clocked GPU but other than that i don't have anything running at start-up which would cause that problem.
