Hello I have in my pc windos2003 server and i have a cd,dvd reader, i installed the cyberlink power dvd and i can read cd's but not dvd's i installed other program the windows media player 10 and windvd 7 , and none of them can read dvd's but only cd's, my dc,dvd works in other pc's but not in mine, my mainboard is pc-chip version s-1.20 and my cd,dvd reader is LG made in 2007 ,i use the cd installer of the mainboard and does not work, y only can listen to the audio fo dvd but not to the video. what is the problem? Hi, you will most likely need a firmware update. find the full model number of your dvd rom drive and google for a firmware update. they are generally a .exe you can run from within windows.
i remember better now my multidvd rewriter was made in august of 2009, and my mainboard was bought in 2006, i do not think it needs a frimware update, any other idea please? L.M.
