I am building a new PC

    i5 750 CPU
    asus or gigabyte p55 board
    ati radeon HD4670
antec NSK4482 with 380W Earthwatts PSU
    DDR3 memory (not sure which)
Samsung spinpoint F3 500GB (or WD caviar blue 640GB)

I need advice on a quality motherboard? Is a 380 W PS sufficient?
I dont want to spend more than I have to for my needs.

I am not heavily into games. I will be using photoshop CS4 quite a bit.
I am not interested in dual monitors. I will be using a HD monitor for movies.

Any suggestion on mob? Also is 380W PSU enough?
Is Asus P6H55 EVO good enough? Thanks for any advice

You will have a similar system to mine (see My Computer).

    Some notes:

The 380W is too short. I wouldn't go with anything less than 500W, provided it comes from a trusted vendor like OCZ.

I myself have the P55 mobo and it's good enough. Cannot say whether it's better than the Asus, though.

you're definitely gonna need more watts. you don't need 1.21 gigawatts or anything for a build like that, but it's to have around 500 or more. 380 MIGHT work in a pinch, but you never know. it's always reassuring to know that your PSU's not gonna explode or something, so i suggest 500 watts or more.

and remember, you can never have too many watts.

oh and also, always buy from good brands like Corsair, OCZ and Antec, not those off-brand ones.

stay away from Asus. Gigabyte boards are very good also reliable and reasonably priced.
