The biggest question in the hardware world. Which is better, Intel or AMD? AMD is not a bad processor. Intel is not bad either. Compiling within an AMD motherboard makes C to C++ binary readability absolutely terrible with an AMD processor. AMD separates Java, A+, and other frameworks that games run on into both C and C++ making it a longer process to read a simple line of binary. Intel's compiler keeps everything the same binary language when the processor reads it making it easier to read one line of binary other than multiple of lines of binary in different computer languages, (similar as reading a book full of German, Chinese, and Russian words randomized throughout) which is what AMD does. The longer codes and more specific bit lines that AMD uses for each file type does make it better for any sound file because of the intensive detail that AMD turns files into. So if your looking for a fast secure processor for gaming, I recommend Intel. For a video and sound editing software, I recommend AMD. Recently AMD has come out with an eight-core processor, with a reserved 2Mb of cache for each core, generally 16Mb is an exponential amount of cache, but never will all of the cores run at the same capacity at a time. The reserved cache has also been known to appear in many other processors. The movie watching and web browsing wants a processor that has a guaranteed maximum amount of cache for each core for all of the processes that movies and web browsers use to make sure they are multi-tasking at exponential rates. For gaming, someone might chose a processor without a reserved amount of cache for the cores, so the core holding the biggest load, whether it be the physics of a game or something else, is available to more unused cache to run faster and support the main processes within the open game. Intel calls this the Smart Cache Technology, to assign the cores under the most load more cache. Keeping in mind that although task manager (taskmgr) will only show the single game as a process, the process will be doing many other things, like deciphering between pictures, grids, and calculations, then deciding where to send it all. The above statement does not mean that neither AMD or Intel would be bad at reading any kind of computer language, because every language is readable by a computer, but the fashion that they are read can slightly vary causing the little differences making Intel better for gaming and AMD better for video and sound. For gaming I recommend no more than a six-core processor with a high amount of cache and core speed, as to not limit the individual speed of each core because each core has different things to do and shares the main clock speed, and for more direct memory. Do not quote any of this at the risk of it being out of date within a year do to all the changes that hardware is going through. Intel will probably be the best for gaming forever, but the way that languages are read will change as time goes on. The fact is, 10 years from now I will guarantee that Intel will be better for gaming and AMD for video editing still. If you disagree, have any questions, or have something to add, I will respond as soon as possible. *This message has been approved by both Intel and AMD chip-set manufacturers.*
Ok you make me laugh... Please point out one piece of incorrect data you desperate little retard... You really are desperate Nathan... I feel sorry for you. If you wish I will send you the 2009 Masters book that I got this from. And other than that, you are breaking forum rules... 5.)
