Hello guys, i have bought new laptop today. Its Asus N53sv. There was no OS installed , so I installed windows 7 64-bit. But after completing installation at the "Preparing desktop" screen computer reboots, and goes into boot loop. I tryed to re-install the OS again, but it didnt helped. Infact, i bought two laptops of the same model, one for me and one for my brother, and both has the same problem. Help me pls, i doubt its hardware related.
Hi, This may be a problem with the RAID mode in the bios. Where I work, our image will go into a reboot loop if we do not have the RAID set to AHCI. I would go into the BIOS of the laptop and look for the RAID mode option, see what it is set to, then try switching it to the other options to see if this makes a difference. You may have options for Auto, AHCI, off, etc. If possible, try turning it off first to see if that works. If not, try the other modes as well. Usually to get into the bios, when you first boot the laptop, you will need to hit the del key or sometimes i have seen it as f2 as well. Usually, the computer will tell you which key you need to press to go into BIOS or it may refer to it as setup. The raid feature might be listed under disk drives, or sata, or could be a different category, but it will depend on the maker of the bios for your laptops.
I think your problem is that you Must have the SATA drivers on the install disk, If you install windows XP, Then Make sure your copy is Windows XP pro 64 bit with SP3 , with sata drivers on the disk...You will have to find a 64 bit XP with sata on the net, Or Make your own...
