Hi, I bought an F500 which someone had decided to fry with a heat gun. I have now decided to not bother to fix it but to buy something with a smashed screen and just replace the good screen etc! Does anyone know what compaq/HP variants the f500 screen will fit? I have a feeling it will be all models obviously with a 15.4" screen! If someone could 2nd opinion me I would be grateful. Hey the connection on laptops screen are usually the same the only difference being whether its LED backlit or CCFL backlit. The quckest way to tell is to pop the front cover off the screen and see if theres an inverter present under the screen if there is its CCFL if there isn't it LED. So if you get the right 15.4 inch screen it should fit regardless of make or model. Hope this helps Dave
