hi everybody, everytime i start my pc i receive 2 messages saying that there is 2 files missing: "mfpmlist64.dll" and "mfpmlist.dll". I don't have idea how to fix this, so any help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance
What Operating System are you running ? You can do a goggle search to find those missing .dlls, then download them and put them back..
hi ghostman thanks for answering, im running Windows 7. I did, I searched in google but i didn't had any lucky. I found a site where i could do that but i didn't find the files that my pc ask there.. Thanks in advance
I also did a search and could not find those two .dll files.. Have you installed anything new lately ? How long as this been going on ? did this just start ?
You probably installed a program recently and then removed it. Now the item is stuck in your startup item and when it looks for the .dll file at boot, it can't find it. Hence the error. That's my speculation. Download CCleaner and perform a system clean up. Then, open up the "start up" option and remove anything you seem to not need. Let us know what you see on that list if you're not sure of what to remove.
Yes i think i uninstall something, but a long time ago so know i don't remember what software i uninstall ;o. This is happening for a long time, i didn't had much time to fix it.. Thanks in Advance
hi cube_thanks for answer. I performed a system clean up like you said. Now, i have some doubts about what to remove on the startup list. I have some programs in my startup that i dont't know if i should desactivate or not: Google Update msnmsgr OfficeSyncProcess Adobe ARM Adobe Reader Speed Launcher ASUS WebStorage ATKMEDIA ATKOSD2 BCSSync HControlUser HotKeysCmds IgfxTray IntelTBRunOnce MSC Persistence RtHDVBg Setwallpaper SonicMasterTray SSDMonitor SynAsusAcpi SynTPEnh UpdateLBPShortCut UpdateP2GoShortCut Thanks in Advance
No problem. Typically, a lot of start up items are unnecessary. The same goes for services. I can assure you can safely remove the following items, although if you choose to keep them you can: Google Update msnmsgr (unless you use MSN Messenger and want it at start up) OfficeSyncProcess Adobe ARM Adobe Reader Speed Launcher BCSSync Persistence Setwallpaper (unless you have some sort of special program that sets your background) UpdateLBPShortCut (unless you create cool labels for your burned cd's) UpdateP2GoShortCut I doubt though that any of these are the problem. And it's crazy that there's no record of the .dll files over the internet. But disable those items anyway and see what happens. It may still be services. Click Start > then in "Run" type in "msconfig". If you don't have the "run" option, look for "Command Prompt" under Start > all Programs > accessories. Then type in "msconfig" there. Once msconfig is up, go to the "Services" tab. Then check the box that says "Hide all Microsoft services". Then list what you see.
I didn't comment in this last reply but i actually did a startup over the internet: Messenger application Send to OneNote Notes Link to OneNote Publish in Blog Skype Click to Call Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper Skype Browser Helper Windows Live ID Sign-in Helper Windows Live Messenger Companion Helper And about the msconfig this is the list i got after i hide all the microsoft services: AFB AGENT ASLDR SERVICE AVAST ANTIVIRUS INTEL PROSET/WIRELESS EVENT LOG FLEXNET LICENSING SERVICE GOOGLE UPDATE SERVICE GOOGLE SOFTWARE UPDATER WIRELESS PAN DHCP SERVER NMS ACCESS64 NVDIA DRIVER HELPER SERVICE NVIDIA UPDATE SERVICE DAEMON PC TOOLS STARTUP AND SHUTDOWN MONITOR SERVICE INTEL PROSET/WIRELESS REGISTRY SERVICE STEAM CLIENT SERVICE TEAM VIEWER 6 INTEL TURBO BOOST TECHNOLOGY MONITOR Thanks in Advance
I did a search for AFB AGENT. Comes up as a trojan. Disable it. Also disable: All google services All nvidia services PC TOOLS STARTUP AND SHUTDOWN MONITOR SERVICE
I restarted my pc and i am not receiving messages anymore. And wow i have a trojan in my pc.... No wonder the computer was slow...Thank you very much for the help
