Dell Optiplex 780 beeping on boot up

    Hi,

    I am having an issue with a Dell Optiplex 780 beeping every 10 seconds or so on boot up.

    I swapped the hard drive out a couple days ago and now everytime the PC gets switched on, th ePC beeps whilst booting up. This stops after a while but I have no idea why. There aren't any warning lights on and the PC works fine otherwise.

    Any ideas on what it might be?

    How many beeps do you hear? Are some longer or shorter? The beeps are a message telling you that there is a problem. Like other manufacturers, Dell posts the beep codes on their websites applicable to the version of your desktop.
