Hello, I have an Asus x59sr, 2Gzh intel core 2 duo, 2x2 Gb of Ram and Ati Radeon HD3470. I have a problem and I can't think of what it can be. I've tried checking the Ram, the Hard disk, all the cable, the fan and the micro. Sometimes my computer restarts while using it. It's more common if I move it around, even just a few centimetres. Other times, instead of restarting, it shows this screen (IMG-1668). I've tried the memtest86. I used just one of the Rams to check them separately and it got stuck at 14%. With the other one, it showed the IMG_1670. Thanks for everything. I hope you can help me.
Restarts for no reason can be caused from VIRUS, Or could be from HEAT... Or you might have a SHORT somewhere...First test is go into the Bio's and see if it will act up there....Pull the side door off, and look for fans that are not spinning, check all the wires for a bare spots..
I think it can't be a virus, the pc has been recently format, and i use Linux OS. i'm quite sure that the heat is not the problem, because i cleaned up few weeks ago the fan and renewed the thermal paste. I also checked out that the temperature is correct and the fans are working by the way, it is a laptop
Seems to me there was some devices not ground probably on the mobo. Check the connections. I agreed that there could be SHORT somewhere or the power leak on the computer. Hope this helps. Bill Tech Manager, WPTinc.
