As the title states. Currently, it's Darksiders on the PC (thank you Humble Bundle), Halo 4 on the Xbox 360 and Resistance 3 on the Playstation 3. I finished the Halo 4 campaign and am playing Spartan Ops. I have not been big on the Halo franchise. I wasn't particularly impressed when I tried it years ago on the PC. However, when I decided to spring for a 360 system, I wanted the hard drive capacity and knew that I'd get a second controller. The Halo 4 bundle offered the hardware I wanted and I figured why not give the game a shot. Very solid. I also liked how 343 Studio gave out Spartan Ops content for free (assuming you have a Live Gold account) instead of making you pay extra for DLC that they cut out of the game. Yeah, I'll pick up Halo 5 when it comes out. Darksiders is covering most of my gaming time right now. I've heard it plays a lot like Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but I never played that. However, I am enjoying the game mechanics. I want to get Bioshock: Infinite as well, but I have a number of games backlogged as it is, so while I want to grab it release day, I won't because it might just sit in the "to play" pile, and I can't see pay full price if that's going to be the case.
Hey B Currently/Finished: Tomb Raider 2013 (PS3), loved it, the story / good graphics! gameplay/ reminded me of Uncharted series. I did try Bioshock when it came out, just never got into it. Might try Metal Gear Rising next not sure If I'll like it though.
I played Metal Gear Solid 4. It was interesting in that it seemed more like an interactive movie than a typical video game. I haven't played any other releases in the series, but I understand that Metal Gear Rising isn't as much about sneaking around as the protagonist isn't Solid Snake, rather an ally. Looks interesting, so I'll watch for the price to drop and see then.
Right now, it's Tomb Raider (PC), Halo: Anniversary Edition (Xbox 360), Uncharted 3/Saints Row 3 (PS3) hmmm... I finished Darksiders 2 finally. Too bad Nordic doesn't have anything slated until 2015. At least I might have a shot at completing some of the games I already have.
Finished Gears of War 1-3 and started Judgement. Also, got around a stuck point in Dead Space so I'm taking that up again.
hey B Finished Last of Us some weeks back and just recently Beyond Two Souls, both awesome games. Just waiting for some decent PS4 games to come out before I buy it . Also been playing Gran Turismo 6, feels the same as every other GT to be honest
Those look good, so I think I will get them once they drop in price. Dishonored looks good too, something along the lines of Deus Ex and Bioshock, but with the GOTYE version out, I'll just wait for that package to drop in price.
Finished Dead Space. Scary without feeling like they were all cheap scares. I picked up the second one and have started on that. Also grabbed Dishonored for $10 used and the Kinect for my 360 after my older son saw a Sesame Street game that required it. I think it will be easier to learn vs. the Wii-mote. I love gaming, but, being an adult kinda leave less time for that.
Mass Effect 3. Haven't played the first two, but if I did get them, that would probably take up my gaming time for the rest of the year. I'm at least 26 hours into it and I kinda doubt I'll finish in 30 hours. I've enjoyed Deus Ex and Human Revolution, and the game is in a similar vein. I'll probably play a lot of it and maybe finish it next week when I'm home with my sons (wife and daughter will be at the hospital for a 24-hour EEG). I retrieved my original PS3 to continue playing as my Super Slim won't spin the discs, and I'm pretty sure my youngest had something to do with it. (See: why I can't have nice things anymore ). Definitely recommended.
@Big B nice I've be trying to get into Watch Dogs on PS4, something about it just doesn't appeal to me. Need to get hold of latest Metal Gear Solid game/s. Rented Human Revolution but again never got into it.
That's one thing that I've appreciated about both Xbox Live and Playstation Plus subscriptions. Free games. I usually wait until things are pretty cheap anyway (CoD:Ghosts is my only $60 purchase in years), but the subs pay for themselves if you snag 3 games a year. So, like when my kids move out and I retire, I'll definitely rack up a sweet gamer score. I know Live had Hitman: Absolution as one of the freebies. Also, PS+ saved my bacon with uploading saved games. My Super Slim's drive stopped spinning discs, and I'm pretty sure my youngest had a had in that (he's probably killed at least 3 optical drives in under a year--and reason why I sprung for a Fractal Design XL R2), and since my original PS3 was doing nothing up in the bedroom, I returned it to the living room under latch, pulled over the most recent save and went on my way. Totally worth $50 for that feature alone. I think Live has a similar cloud feature as well. I'll probably fix the drive down the road, but as that's the only thing wrong, I just leave it go as the Netflix box and game download box. I haven't gotten a next gen system yet. Watch Dogs might be up my alley, though. After the 360 RROD issues and a meager library of games (as can be expected), I haven't jumped yet into the 8th-gen suff. Now that I know there's a Gears of War in development for the Xbox One, I'm kinda eyeing that right now, and maybe an external HDD (or two) to hook up to it. Having said that, hopefully by the next tax season, I might move from LGA775 territory in my main box. I just snagged a mini ITX board with a Haswell-based Celeron that's probably pretty close to the Core 2 X6800 I have now. Having said that, I do have it at a point where it does run Crysis
Tried the Battlefield Hardline beta, since Visceral was the developer. Not bad, but nothing wowing me. I don't think I'll pick it up. It made me long for Dead Space, so that's what I started playing again. I also started Wolfenstein: The New Order, which is probably sitting to the side now that ADD has got me back into Dead Space. I guess I see if I get stuck at the same place again and have to use someone else's saved game to get around. Still gives me the willies.
Soon; Exo zombies (COD) on PS4, only reason to purchase COD The order looks nice probably wait for a while though, not had many good reviews from what I've been told.
The zombie thing is still going strong. Not my thing, but I enjoyed Ghosts and what I've played so far of AW, MP or not. If I had more time, I might see about the Exo Zombies part, but I'm usually not one to buy DLC.
I enjoyed CoD: Ghosts for what it's worth. Could not get into AW and sold it. Right now, I'm looking forward to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Gears of War 4, and Mass Effect Andromeda especially.
Installing ME: Andromeda on the Xbox One. I'm gonna wait until my youngest is off to school before firing it up, though. Not sure if I'll grab another Live Gold sub, since I tend to run around as the freebie kill in multiplayer against 12 year-olds. But, still Mass Effect...
