install cd-rom

    I'm attemting to install a sony cdu76e-02 into an olivetti brand pentium 100 mhz. win 95 doesn't see it. either automaticly or manually. can someone please save me

    double check it in the BIOS and see if its being detected, also try different cables to see if it works.

    tks
    was able to hook up cd-rom
    but because unit is so ancient and has only 130w power supply.both cd and sound card wiil not work at same time
    so i had to remove sound card to make cd work

    Ouch. I'd see if you could scavenge a little beefier power supply, but I would really go out and buy a new unit. That'd likely cost as much, if not more, than the value of that PC.
