Check that the CPU is properly seated, as that will prevent the unit booting up.

OTherwise check the connections, cards etc properly pushed in..try a different graphics card on the mobo to see if that was fried....

The card is not fried.. If the card fried than the PCI Video card on the motherboard will be used by default.. And second.. The cpu is seated because the cpu fan turns on, and it powers for like 1 millisecond.. If the board gets powered AT ALL the cpu is what is powering it along with the PSU!!

First off, if your video card wasn't working or was fried.. this would Not stop your computer from booting up, your monitor would merely not post.

As for your problem, if you were paying the technician to sort out a different problem.. and this has happened then it's his fault, and should sort it for you.

Sounds to be like an overheating problem, computers usually shut off when the processor gets to overheated, or the memory is damaged or not seated correctly.

Make sure your CPU is not overheating, and the heat sink and fan is seated correctly - making sure the CPU is completely covered by a heatsink, and that the fan is correctly powered, second of all check that your memory is in Dimm#1 /Dimm#2 as appropriate..

Test all your memory (using 1 piece at a time -booting up) in #Dimm1

Test your powersupply as your powersupply maybe faulty, you can do this by trying a different powersupply of equal or better Power in the pc thats giving you trouble, if your computer turns on.. you know it was your powersupply that was faulty - so you need to replace it, if it doesnt make a difference then you now know that it's either your CPU or motherboard.

The next parts are slightly more tricky as you need other similiar computers.. so try your CPU in a compatible motherboard which you know works..

If it doesnt work with ur CPU from the faulty pc, u know its the CPU - if it does work you then know its your motherboard.

    *To Waffle:
*Puts on "Are You Stupid BOY!?" Face* - Says: Video Card? - A VIDEO CARD!? your a moderator boy! a video card would not "stop" the system booting up. lol! *goes jumps off cliff*

Um, I know the it is the motherboard, IT IS NOT a heat issue lmao.. It literally turns on for a millisecond.. It does'nt even have time to give off any heat.. lol.. SO the guy also broke my case.. So here is what I am going to do.... I am getting my new case on Monday, I am shipping out my PSU which is faulty (Not the one in th case, A different one) , when I recieve that PSU, I will test it, then send my motherboard back on monday.. maybe getting this all together in a good 2 weeks.. This sucks lol but it has been a good experience!!!! lol..

    Exactly!

I'm a very special moderator with little or no knowledge of hardware troubleshooting. But I can make some neato sigs :D

True. However, while not explicitly stated, we do have an OT forum: General Chat. kthxbye. :)

Now, back to the subject at hand. ProcalX spelled it out, and I'd personally lean toward checking the CPU. If you haven't smelled burning electronics yet (and you'll know it if you do), I doubt anythings fried---unless it came that way.

OK this is what I decided.. I bought a new cpu/mobo combo like I did at tiger.. ( I could not return it because I did not have th original packaging) So I bought it for $400 on BILLMELATER.. So tiger said If I ship them my defective mobo/cpu with the new box and stuff, then they will credit my billmelater account with what I payed for on the last motherboard.. I only put out about $20.. Is this good? YAY I GOT MY X DREAMER II CASE!!!
