    but it may go in software or overclocking and cooling.................

    take a look at the attached pic. Its the error message I get several times a day - I'm doing anything - just now it was cs:s, and suddenly the pc freezes, screen turns off, and i have to power down at the mains. odd.

    the booting up I get the attached message, pressing any key just makes the message repeat itself. it doesnt get so far as the "Windows XP" boot screen.

    Then I turn it off, back on again and i get the message "Warning Overclocking Failed."

    Which is strange as I haven't tried o/c it yet...

    then I reboot *again* and it loads ok.

    any ideas??

    What? Thats your error message. Waffles is losing it...
    Don't know about your mobo, but some mobos can do overclocking without the need for user input, like the CoreCell chip does in MSI mobos.
