I have recently acquired a Smartdisk crossfire 160GB drive. I need to format it on my PC but each time I try it gets so far and then just freezes everything. Does any1 have any ideas why this keeps happening and what i can maybe do about it????

Do you have the Windows XP CD? if you do, try this!

    1. Booting from the CD (will have to go into bios to boot from CD)
    2. Choose the Recovery Console (R)
    3. At the dos prompt type: "format x:" (without the quotes and replace x with the drive letter!, Important input the correct drive letter!)

This may or may work so post again!
