I have had my PC a couple years now and recently the screen just started to started to mess up. i have a nvidia fx5200. the screen just randomly has a green tint to it. i have no idea what is causing this. is it the monitor (17" tft, 2 years old) or is it the nvidia graphics drivers. it occurs most when running games. thanks a lot for help
have you overclocked? try to find any brand names on the power supply or Wattages did you get it with the case? or what brand is the computer? it could possibly be the monitor, but I bet you can fix that through the settings, if you have any special color settings.
What's the make and model of the Monitor? Was it pretty good when you bought it or was it second hand budget stuff like mine? I have a hard time believeing that the magnets on a two year old monitor would start to go but weird things happen. Update your drivers just for the heck of it as it can't hurt and see if that somehow helps. Also look in the nVidia control panel (should be labeled nVidia Analogue Display or something) and see if color corrections is okay. There should be some sort of writing on the back of your power supply, it will most likely say what model your psu is and it's wattage. Though I don't see why a faulty psu would cause your screen to get a green tint?
