You've got integrated graphics there, and may or may not be able to upgrade without replacing your mobo.

    What mobo do you have?

The rest of your specs would be nice so we can look for a new motherboard for you if you like? As for playing Halflife 2 perfectly do you mean perfectly on max settings or perfectly on modest settings? Do you have a maximum budget? Like $200 for the graphic card maybe? Thanks:)

Your motherboard is the MSI KM4M-L which has an AGP 8x slot.
For £75 you can get this Radeon 9600 XT. Its a good card for your money.

or the 38 euro card posted in the bargain zone, the 9700 pro, id agree with ex though too for around 150$ or 120-30 euro a 6600GT is much bang for the buck, and its deadly at overclocking too :)

It should paly reasonably well with settingson medium, you can always lower certain settings which don't make much difference to the graphics to help performance if needed. But at £38, its a bargain.

You can go with the 6600GT, its £83 but it'll be much ebtter than any of the original Radeon 9x cards.
