Just out of curiosity, once my computer went crazy and thought the TV-Out was enabled on the graphics card, its an old GeForce FX 5200 128Mb, when i tried to play a movie it said something about it couldnt play with the tv-out port enabled as it breached copyright or something, i was thinking of linking my pc to my tv using this a while back but thought if i couldnt play dvd's then i wouldnt do it, is there any way to stop this and is the tv-out like s-video or something? i dont have an s-video input on my tv and was wondering if there was a conversion cable/box i could use to run it into a phono input on my tv.

the tv out socket on your graphics card is precisely s-video, if you go to your local comp shop they should be able to give you what you need, prob cost like 5 dollars, maybe you can try downloading a TRIAL version of AnyDVD and start it just before you start your dvd player program as this program stops most copyright protections in addition to region free!
