Does anyone have any info on this card? I'd be very curious to see how much better it will be than the 7800GTX. A potential release date would help to. I wouldn't think it would be that much faster, just a higher clock probably. Maybe 512Mb's of ram, hopefully. Anyone know? Thanks.

I have seen a 7800GTX Extreme Gamer Edition from XFX (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/7800_Series.html go to the bottom of the page) but not sure about an Ultra...Also check out the main/home page of that site it has something on NVidia next generation cards coming out on the 11th August although when you click on it it just takes you to the 7800 series page.

Yeah the Extreme gamers ED. is just an oc'ed deal, good but not worth it. I remember hearing that nVidia will probably pull a fast one with the Ultra when ATI releases it's most likely much faster R520 in the winter. So I'll probably have to wait awhile but I wondered if anyone knew.
I've seen that Aug. 11th add before, didin't make any sense to me...the power of 3??? What is it Tri-SLI or something?

That may be a bit drastic, that would probably be the 8000GTX or whatever. The ultra is most likely going to be a beefy 7800GTX, like with more ram like I said before, but it's all speculation at this point.

    Wow, that's freakishly awesome. 2 GTX's man that's insane.
People on the OC forums have told me that the power of 3 refers the release of the 7800nu, 7800GT, and 7800GTX that will cause big price drops in other nVidia cards. The only thing that doesn't make sense is why they'd release a GTX...again.

Nice find, might just be a marketing ploy though. I think the Ultra is supposed to have 32 pipes.

but, if its just a marketing ploy, then its a dirty trick, becouse someone could be thinking, ooo ultra version, lets get it, then they find it isnt, i dont think ebuyer would play a trick like that, would they?

hey, is this better than the 7800gtx ultra?

yeah its a rip off. I did see in a magasine that a company had made a card with 2 6800 chips in it (i cant remember whether or not they were GT, Ultra or what) but you can sli 'em as well........i wonder if they are better than 7800GTX's?
(it was extremely loud with the cooler spinning like crazy to keep them cool though!)
