hey people, well this is a problem i have had for a long time and now it is time to fix it so i am running xp with sp2 and i have IE and Mozilla. this is my computer so i am the Administrator and i also made an acount for my parents but they never went on it . my questions is , For some reason i do not have Macromedia Flash player installed for IE so that limits the things i can do with IE so i have to use Mozilla and also mozilla has limitations to on some sites. i try to download the flash player with IE and it sais i must try again from an Administrators acount???? i am the Admin. Also i have noticed when i savethings and what not on the computer it often saves it to my parents acount like under there name and not mine as if i was using there account. I hope this makes sense . thx alot

Hi did you install windows xp on it or was it already there, only if it was already there then whoever put xp on your machine is the administractor.

You could try to download the zip file or executable onto your desktop, right-click on the icon, select "Run-As" and choose the administrator account and see if that works.

Actually most of the regulars are geeky teenagers with a dangerous obsession with computers rather that IT professionals - that's why I like it here so much :)

I build my own computers and keep then running right by installing Slackware Linux and using a Devil Linux hardware firewall. I don't need to use anti-virus programs, anti-spyware programs, anti-adware programs, registry checkers, defraggers, or trojan hunters. Freezes and crashes are a rarity even though I never turn the machine off and I barely remember what a Blue Screen of Death looks like :p
