Heh. Now I'm tweaking around some. My first box (A7N8X-E Dlx, etc) just did 11241 @ stock speeds. Been tweaking the memory since I can OC worth crap with my XP2000+ (poor OC chip).
With my newest upgrade Im getting over 20K. This is with my 9800Pro tho. I have yet to test my 9800XT. Soon tho, very soon. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7943812
^ nice i can only get 13,036 with my sig i could probably get more if i can oc my 9600xt. cause my vcard can only overclock if im not ocing my cpu.
hey man your sig beat my dell dimension v333c celeron 333mhz, 256mb ram, cr drive, floppy. i still use it for watching tmd movies in my sun room
are you benchmarking on 01 or 03?? once my system is complete on friday i will boot up and benchmark, originally i got 11,540 or something with a: 1.8ghz athlon 2200+ PC Chips m848alu 512mb ebuyer pc2700 (ran more like pc1600) ATI Radeon 9600XT 128mb 60gb 7200rpm 2mb 300W PSU so we'll see the difference, of decent ram / motherboard / psu (1GB Corsair XMS Dual Channel / 7n400PRO2 / 600W PSU
01' 13,036 (524/680 @2.7ghz cpu 03' 3,990 (stock) oc 4,200 (560/800 stock cpu) aquamark 31,950 (524/680 @2.7ghz cpu)
At least here ya do, and by around 6,000 points too. I waiting one of two things: being sent some new stuff for review, or until the price on Socket 939 becomes more affordable.
sweet. I need to test my 9800XT which I might be replacing with a 6800GT or X800 XT PE. Im also thinking about getting some raptors
Those Raptors seem to be infringing on SCSI territory in terms of speed, at least compared to 10k RPM drives.
No, but I'm ready if I do. The benchmarks I've read about, particularly over @ Storage Review seem to indicate this. Of course, Western Digital can go on with faster ATA drives since they no longer have a SCSI line anymore. That's why we haven't seen the likes of Maxtor, Seagate, and Hitatchi come out with 10k RPM PATA or SATA drives.
i was thinking of buying a pair of raptors or SCSI's but they are just to expensive for the amount of space you get.. 74gb for 2 hard drives in raid 0 which will cost you around £100 per hard drive. : / and alot LOT more expensive for anything bigger (SCSI), + u really need a controller card, i have 2 160GB Maxtor Diamond9 SATA in raid 0 and its as fast as i need, 320GB 7200rpm 150mb/ps 8mb cache. (total cost was £140 or just under) for a 320gb hard drive
I decided to bench my card and got 16790 in 3dmark2k1 and 5638 in 2k3. Got 17276 @ 210*11 but it crashed in 3dmark2k3. Looks like this new ram overclocks less than the Kingston I had before because it won't do 220mhz with optimal timings. they are tighter though so maybe I could tweak them but I don't want to. 200*11 is fine with me.
I think Ill go for about 12K with my new stuff which should get here in the next few days hehehe If you missed it...I ordered a 6800GT OC and a gig of corsair XMS pc3200 ram. Im amped
Here's my latest set with a vs. against my X800Pro....they are form when I first got this 6800GT....since then I've done alot of tweaking and a clean WinXP installation. I'm still ironing out a few kinks and waiting on an "official" ForceWare set from NVidia....so, I'm almost ready to do some MAXed runs.....This CPU benches at 3.84ghz(240x16) with the GT maxing around 430 \ 1150...they should be very sweet 3dm2k1 | 3dm2k3 | Aquamark 26455-------10279-------61045 *-X800Pro 24462-------12122-------68259 **6800GT 25154-------13504-------73956 ***6800GT @ 425 \ 1150 for haha'a 3dm2k1 at 1600x1200 4xAA \ 8xAF -14864 P4EE @ 231x16 1gb PC3700 *X800Pro- Cat 4.6, Driver defaults 3d, Overdrive-On (505mhz core), v-sync off, A.mark-very high, 1024x768, aud-no HD 3dmarks -full default **6800GT- FW 61.36, driver defaults 3d, fractory settings 370/1000, v-sync off, A.mark-very high 1024x768, 3dmarks -full default I'm not really sure what's up with the 2k1 scores but I believe its driver related...but all else looks good too me....
